How many transactions will you record?

Answer three questions for a first estimate, then check the assumptions behind it. Ventory counts business events, not units: moving 100 of one part in one go is one transaction. Free to use.

Size it on your own history

The estimate is a starting point. Bring twelve months of goods movement lines and we size the plan with you, on your own numbers.

2

Check the assumptions

Each line is one flow of stock. Open a line to change it.

The most accurate input is your own history. Ask IT for 12 months of goods movement lines to, from and between field locations. Each line on a document is one transaction.

Your industry presentation

A twelve-slide deck for the chosen industry: the volume estimate, what counts as a transaction with the bundle rate card, the plan summary, what each plan includes, how to add volume, and the Enterprise options for entities and white-label.

What counts

A transaction is one business event, not one unit.

One transaction has one

  • Document: a purchase, sales or transfer order
  • Timestamp
  • Source and destination
  • Lot, where lots are tracked
  • Quantity of any size

It becomes more than one when

  • Lots differ: 60 of lot A and 40 of lot B = 2
  • Shipments differ: 50 today, 50 tomorrow = 2
  • Destinations differ: 50 to site A, 50 to site B = 2
  • Documents differ: two separate orders = 2

Never counted

  • Quantity: 100 units in one event = 1
  • Users, locations and SKUs
  • Alerts and notifications

This estimator counts one transaction per part line on a document.

How the estimate works

What counts as one transaction in Ventory?

One business event. One document, one timestamp, one source and destination, one lot where lots are tracked, and a quantity of any size. Moving 100 units of one part in one go is one transaction, not 100.

What is never counted as a transaction?

Quantity, users, locations, SKUs, alerts and notifications. None of these add to your transaction count.

How accurate is the estimate?

It is a starting point built on industry examples. The accurate input is your own history: twelve months of goods movement lines to, from and between field locations. Each line on a document is one transaction.

When does one movement become more than one transaction?

When lots differ, when shipments go out on different days, when destinations differ, or when the lines sit on separate documents. 60 of lot A and 40 of lot B is two transactions.

What happens if we pass our volume bundle?

There is no hard stop. You can add a bundle mid-year if usage grows. Overage is charged at 120% of your rate, and up to 10% of unused volume rolls over on renewal.

Do I have to give my email?

Only for the presentation. The estimate, the range, the plan and the price table stay on screen without it. Your work email unlocks the twelve-slide deck for your industry, to download or to present.
